A Night at the USO
Held annually in memory of long-time Oneida member Don Connelly, who suffered from Post-Polio Syndrome, the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley acknowledges members in Oneida and Rome who, like Connelly, use the Y to achieve significant goals and refuse to give up.
In honor of Don's service to the USO, join us for an unforgettable evening at our WWII-themed dinner celebration! Experience the vibrant spirit of the era with a night filled with Big Band music and lively Swing dance. Dress in your best 1940s attire and be ready to dance the night away as we celebrate the courage and camaraderie of this historic period, which Don devoted his career to. Don’t miss this chance to step back in time and create lasting memories!
All proceeds for this event support the YMCA's ability to provide scholarships to children and families who are unable to afford life-changing programs and services. Our commitment is to ensure the YMCA is for all, regardless of ability to pay.

Bob Hope’s life in comedy comes to life once again with this lookalike- and soundalike- tribute to the legendary comedian. Bill Johnson has performed his tribute to the late, great Bob Hope across the U.S, and the South Pacific to rave reviews. Bill’s tribute works great for a wide range of events…as master of ceremonies, tributes to the troops, or corporate gatherings.
Bill has performed his tribute regularly at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. When the Museum premiered the film “Beyond All Boundaries” in their Victory Theater, Bill was honored to introduce NBC-TV broadcast journalist Tom Brokaw, and perform a brief moment of comedy with the film’s Executive Producer, Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks.

This 15-piece swing music band is comprised of people of all walks of life who enjoy making music together. The ensemble features brass, reeds, rhythm, and vocals, and performs hits from the 1930s to the present in the Big Band style.
All proceeds from this event support the YMCA's Changing Lives Financial Assistance program- for those who are unable to afford life-changing YMCA programs and services.
