On Saturday, April 27, 2013 the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley will join YMCAs across the country to celebrate Healthy Kids Day – an event to help kids and families embrace healthy habits they can sustain for a lifetime.
Our children’s health and well-being is a concern for the whole community. Last year, we welcomed Rome Memorial Hospital, known for its health and wellness programs and community involvement, as a corporate partner. Won’t you join us by participating in this exciting event?
Showcase your organization’s commitment to the health and wellness of our children and families where you can:
- Present educational information;
- Give an interactive demonstration; and/or
- Plan a game or presentation.
We encourage you to be fun and interactive to engage children who have been raised in a digital world. Childhood obesity is one of the biggest battles facing our nation today. We have the opportunity to show children and families that physical activity and wellness can be fun!
Last year, more than 1,000 people came to our Healthy Kids Day. This year’s event promises to be the largest ever in our community’s history, especially with your support.
This event is a signature trademark of the YMCA Activate America initiative which is rallying YMCAs across the country to further help individuals and families who struggle to adopt and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Sincerely,
Nicolina A. Calandra
Program Director
