ROME BRANCH:

Youth Night
Come out Saturday night at the Y to enjoy the interactive game room, gym games, pool, and much more. This drop-off program lets parents enjoy an evening child free from 5:30-7:30pm. For students in grades K-6th, cost is only $4 per child for members and non-members. Parent must drop off and pick up child inside the lobby. Starts October 29th and goes until May.

Teen Night
Open to students in grades 7-12, held every Saturday night. Come to the Y for basketball, volleyball, swimming, teen weight room, teen center, and more. This program is 8-10:30pm and the cost is only $4 per student for members and non-members. Must present student I.D. for entry. Starts November 6th and goes until May.

Teen Basketball League
This is a 10 week teen basketball league for teenagers enrolled in school. Teams will be divided evenly and each will play 8 games during the season, plus playoffs. Registration and practices will begin in December and games will start in January. Call for more info.

Annual Baseball Clinic
A 5 week clinic held in February and March to prepare players for their upcoming season. Designed for 8-18 year old boys and girls to improve their batting, fielding, pitching and base running. The clinic is coached by Nick Calicchia and will use a variety of equipment including indoor batting cage, pitching machine and more. Held on Sundays.
Members $50 / Non-Members $75

Youth Boxing Program
The program is open to youth ages 10-17, both boys and girls. It runs after school Monday thru Thursday and costs $75 for YMCA members, $100 for non-members. The program is held at Strough, but you must signup at the Rome YMCA. This program starts up in October and ends with the school year.

Adult Boxing Program
The Adult Boxing program is open to adults ages 18+. It runs after school Monday thru Thursday and is held 7-8:30pm. The program is held at Strough, but you must signup at the Rome YMCA. This program starts up in October and ends with the school year. Cost is $20/month for members and $40/month for non-members.

Interactive Game Room
Open Mon-Thurs 5-8pm for ages 5-12. An exciting room featuring a sports wall, Dance Dance Revolution and a big screen TV with a Nintendo Wii. A great blend of fun and exercise! Parents, drop your kids off to exercise while you do your workout. Free!

Teen Center
Open Mon-Thurs 4:30-7:30pm for ages 13-19. Includes a computer lab, lounge and game room with Xbox 360, big screen TV, ping pong, pool and more. Free to Y members; non-members must purchase a day pass. Located on the third floor. Opens up in Sept and closes at the end of April.

Gym & Swim
A ninety minute phys ed program for home schooled children ages 5-16. Includes instructed gym class and structured swim. Runs along the school year for 8 week sessions. Join an existing class or start a new one with your own group. Sessions start back up in January and March.
Members $30 / Non-Members $60

New Aquatic Classes

Come try Aqua Zumba on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm in the main pool – free for members and $75 per session for non-members. Also check out our new Yoga Fit aerobics classes held Mondays 10:30-11:15am in the main pool, Tuesdays 2:30-3:15pm in the therapy pool and Fridays 5:30-6:15pm in the therapy pool. Yoga Fit is also free for members and $75 per session for non-members.

Our Facilities
Don't forget to checkout the Rome Y's aquatic facilities which include a multi-use lap pool, a warm shallow water therapy pool and a Jacuzzi! We also have saunas, and a co-ed steam room.

Adult Basketball

Both competitive and recreational adult basketball leagues run throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring. Please call 363-7788 if you are interested in getting a team together for the Fall.

Youth and Teen Nights.

This program runs from October-June.  Kids have access to the gymnasium, the swimming pool, the racquetball courts, and the teen room under the close supervision of our staff who are all CPR/First Aid certified .  Youth Night is held from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm and Teen Night is held from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Teens must be enrolled in school in order to participate in the program. The cost is $4 per individual.

Prime Time

This is a program that is held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  This program runs through out the school year.  This program is free to all members.  Parents can sign their child in and must sign them back out as well.  This program is for the kids 8 to 12 years old, the kids that are too old for child watch but to young to be left alone in the building.

Children's Film Program & Acting

This exciting and educational hands-on film making course introduces your child to all the major tasks involved in getting a film produced. The Program will include 24 weeks of on-camera acting, screen writing and producing. Students will collaborate on out their own professional screen play that will allow each "crew" member to experience their contribution in varying production roles. At the end of their film making journey they will experience a "Red Carpet" moment by having their very own film premier with family and friends to enjoy.

After twenty two years working in Hollywood, as both an Actress and Production Manager at three major studios, Instructor Chase Clifford has returned to the area to teach this fully professional project.
Film Class will begin January 14, 2012 on Saturdays 12:00- 2:00pm (24 weeks for 10-14 year olds)
Children's Acting will begin March 17, 2012 11:30 to 12:30pm (10 weeks for 5-9 year olds)
