Interactive Game Room
Open Mon-Thurs 5-8pm for ages 5-12. An exciting room featuring a sports wall, Dance Dance Revolution and a big screen TV with a Nintendo Wii. A great blend of fun and exercise! Parents, drop your kids off to exercise while you do your workout. Free!
Adult Boxing Program
The Adult Boxing program is open to adults ages 18+. It runs after school Monday thru Thursday and is held 7-8:30pm. The program is held at Strough, but you must signup at the Rome YMCA. This program starts up in October and ends with the school year. Cost is $20/month for members and $40/month for non-members.
YMCA Youth Boxing Program
Boxing Training Program for Youth ages 10-18 years old, open to boys and girls. Learn the basics of boxing including stance, footwork, combos and how to train. Held at Strough Middle School boxing gymnasium in partnership with the Rome City School District. The 2014-2015 program begins on October 15th.
Gym & Swim
A ninety minute phys ed program for home schooled children ages 5-16. Includes instructed gym class and structured swim. Runs along the school year for 8 week sessions. Join an existing class or start a new one with your own group. Sessions start back up in January and March. After the March session this program will resume again in September.

Teen Basketball League
Our teen basketball league is back! This league is for boys 13-18 years old. Players should not be playing on a school team at the start of the first game to be held on January 13, 2015. This will be an eight game season with playoffs following the regular season games. Each player will receive a jersey to wear at games. Games will played at the Rome Family Y on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tryouts will be held on December 11, 2014 from 7:00pm-8:30pm and December 13, 2014 from 12:30pm-2:00pm at the Rome Family Y. Cost for the league is $10 for Rome students, $20 for Y Members and $40 for non-members who are not Rome students.
Learn to Play Basketball
This clinic is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game of basketball to our youth including proper basketball stance, shooting technique, and dribbling skills to boys and girls in grades Kindergarten-2nd. We will also mix in fun basketball games during the clinic. Registration deadline is Friday, January, 16that 5 pm. This program begins on Saturday, January 17th and run through February 14th. Kindergarten meets from 11:00am-11:45am and 1st and 2nd Grade meet from 12:00pm-12:45pm on Saturdays. Please make sure your child wears sneakers and comfortable clothing. Make checks payable to the Rome YMCA. Members $20 / Non-Members $40
Saturdays 5:30-7:30PM. Ages 5-12 are welcome. Activities include swimming, gym games, ping pong, interactive game room, movie nights and more. Fully staffed and supervised. Parents may drop off your child and leave in them a safe and fun environment. Cost is only $4. Begins November 1st.
Saturdays 8:00pm-10:00pm for ages 13-18 who are in school. Activities include open gym, basketball, swimming, ping pong, movies, music, use of Teen Center, and more. Fully staffed and supervised. Cost is only $4. Begins November 1st.

Activities include gymnasium, pool, Bubble Ball, inflatable obstacle course, Nerf battles, basketball and more! Every Saturday night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Cost $4.00 per child for members and $6 per child for non-members. Each child must be signed in and out by a parent/adult guardian.

Y Achievers- Fridays - 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Join us for an “outside of the box” small group tutoring program that will expand your child’s skill levels in both Math and ELA as well as provide a fun, hands-on approach to learning. Instruction is based on the NYS Common Core academic standards and is designed to assist with homework difficulty and advance your child’s understanding of troublesome subject areas. Twice the fun and half the cost of a private tutor!! Lead by a NYS Certified Educator with a maximum of 5 participants per tutor.
Members $15 per session; Non-Members $20 per session
Family Zumba®- Sundays 10:05am- Beginning March 1st
Families are able to come enjoy all the benefits of Zumba® together in one class! This class helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives by making fitness fun. This class is open to all ages of Tri-Valley YMCA members. Parents/guardians are required to attend the class with their children.
Family Yoga- Sundays 11:00am- Beginning March 1st
Families are able to come enjoy all the benefits of Yoga together in one class! Family yoga is a time to share, learn and explore while practicing yoga together. Yoga comes to life in this fun and creative class aimed to stimulate, relax, and connect. In this class we will focus on connecting with ourselves and our family members in body, mind, and spirit. This class is open to children ages 5+ who are Tri-Valley YMCA members. Parents/guardians are required to attend the class with their children.
Kids on Camera- Tuesdays 6:15pm- Beginning March 24th
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is bringing an exciting and educational children’s on-camera acting class to the Oneida Y! Starting in our New Hartford location, our children’s acting and film programs have grown to serve hundreds of children who have learned self confidence, writing composition skills, public speaking skills and an introduction into the art of film production. Kids on Camera is the first class in a series of Arts & Humanities programs coming to the Oneida Y! Participants will learn improvisation, film & TV acting, commercial acting and scene study. Open to children ages 6 to 15 years old.

Bible Study- Wednesdays, 12:00pm-12:45pm Beginning March 25th
Join us for an open Bible Study that all are welcome to attend. The study will be led by Pastor Randy Phillips who will lead discussion and the study of I Timothy based on the commentary and study questions of Gospel Preacher and Bible Teacher, Mark Copeland. Copeland uses simplicity to share the gospel and the questions seem to evoke response in a real life scenario.
Rentals and Splash Parties
Any family, group or organization may rent the pool, Party Room or Gymnasium for a private party. Available Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Pricing available for Members and Non-Members. Contact a Member Services Representative for more information, available dates or to schedule a party. Parties exclude the months of July and August.
American Red Cross Babysitting Course
The Oneida Family Y will be offering the Red Cross Babysitter's Training course you ages 11+ to become safe and responsible babysitters. Our class is open to all you and adults, member or non-members and is divided into two sections. Registered participants will also receive an optional CPR/AED/First Aid Training on the following Sunday at no additional charge. Next class is scheduled for April 12th from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Children's Film Program & Acting
This exciting and educational hands-on film making course introduces your child to all the major tasks involved in getting a film produced. The Program will include 28 weeks of on-camera acting, screen writing and producing. Students will collaborate on out their own professional screen play that will allow each "crew" member to experience their contribution in varying production roles. At the end of their film making journey they will experience a "Red Carpet" moment by having their very own film premier with family and friends to enjoy.
After twenty two years working in Hollywood, as both an Actress and Production Manager at three major studios, Instructor Chase Clifford has returned to the area to teach this fully professional project.
Film Class will begin January 3 on Saturdays 12:00- 2:00pm
