YMCA Branch Name

The YMCA Branch Name strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.

With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

Registration 2019 Opens in April!

The Y's summer day camps located in Rome, Oneida and New Hartford provide an array of options to interest every child. We value the unique personalities and potential of every child. Day camp creates an environment where kids can be themselves, explore exciting new things, cultivate friendships, and create lasting memories. Through fun activities, our camp counselors will teach your child to discover the outdoors, build skills, and work as part of a team. The experiences they enjoy will have a lasting impact on their lives as they begin to imagine and explore life around them. Our four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are essential parts of all our programs. We follow the YMCA mission of providing programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Licensed Full Day Camps

Our full day camps meet New York State licensing requirements, which focus on health, safety, and program quality. We are committed to providing a wide variety of experiences to all campers. Weekly activities will include games, outdoor activities, art projects, quiet reading time, swimming, field trips, and more!

Our Staff

All of our staff members go through an in-depth interview and a complete background check before being hired. As role models, staff members are selected for sound judgment, maturity, experience, enthusiasm, and creativity. Training occurs both before and throughout the summer to ensure staff members are providing the best possible experience for campers. All staff members are also certified in First Aid and CPR.
