Welcome to the YMCA of the Greater Tri Valley School Age Child Care Program. We are delighted to serve your family's child care needs. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing experience for your child with plenty of opportunities for growth in spirit, mind and body.
Our YMCA school age child care programs serve children 5 through 12 years old. This is a crucial period in a child's life, where social, physical and mental skills are all being learned and developed. In all of our settings, ideas of self worth are developed, relationships with peers and adults are experienced, and young bodies grow strong and competent.
YMCA child care programs are non-profit programs. Our New York State licensed programs are designed to provide each child with a variety of positive, healthy, and interesting hands on activities each day using our center- based curriculum. Our staff are thoroughly trained and experienced working with children. Many of our staff have, or are working towards, degrees in education or are seeking a career in a childcare related field. We provide our staff with ongoing trainings throughout the year. All of our staff and programs meet New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) requirements and regulations.
We offer programs in the New Hartford, Utica, Oneida, Rome areas with 25 sites combined regionally. For more specific information, please see each YMCA's Branch information or contact one of our School Age Child Care Directors below who will be happy to answer any of your questions! We look forward to serving you and your family!
The YMCA School Age Child Care Program is partners with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, ETA Cuisinaire and Special Olympics to offer a safe, educational and fun program for all.
If you register on-line, or if you print out the registration form and mail in to our office, please make sure each of the items on the forms are filled out completely. Your child is not considered registered and cannot begin the program until all information is complete. Please pay particularly close attention to the Emergency Contact information and who is approved to pick up your child in the parent's absence. Thank you for helping to insure our program is safe!
