One Month Trial
Guests may purchase a one month trial to the YMCA. If you decide to join after the 4 weeks, you can apply your trial to a full membership!
Membership Cards
Your membership card is verification that you are a member of the YMCA and must be scanned at each location. The scanning of your membership card allows you access into the YMCA. Membership cards are nontransferable and remain the property of the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley. Lost cards may be replaced for a small fee.
Membership to the YMCA
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley reserves the right to suspend or cancel a membership when the members behavior or language is judged to be in conflict with the welfare of other members or staff, or is a conflict with the YMCA's purpose. The final decision on a suspended membership will be rendered by the Chief Executive Officer.
Reciprocal Membership Policy:
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley participates in the Reciprocal Membership Privileges benefit. The reciprocal benefit entitles members of the Tri-Valley Y to use the following facilities and vice versa: Auburn, Skaneateles, Syracuse, East Area (Fayetteville), Fulton, Ithaca, Oswego, Cortland, Watertown, Carthage.AWAY Program
When you travel out of town you can use your YMCA membership card at over 600 YMCAs throughout the country at either no charge or at one-half of that YMCA's guest fee. AWAY stands for " Always Welcome at YMCA's." Membership cards have AWAY preprinted on them. Current national YMCA locations and information is available at www.ymca.net. At the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley, any member outside of a 50-mile radius pays half of the Day Pass fee.
Age Requirements
Requirements for some programs may vary from branch to branch. Check with the branch's member service desk for information on a particular program.
Credit Card and Refund Policy
Credit or refund may be issued upon request with a doctor's note.
Credits may be applied to program fees or annual invoice membership dues and must be used within one year of issue.
New Member Health Questionnaire
To better serve YMCA members and program participants regarding their safety in exercise activities, all members and participants will be given a "Health Questionnaire" at the time of registration. This form asks questions regarding the major health risks associated with exercise, as identified by the American College of Sports Medicine, and recommends seeking medical advice prior to beginning an exercise program. The YMCA recommends consultation with a physician prior to beginning any exercise program.
Heroes Program
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley believes that no one should be denied membership or program participation solely because of the inability to pay fees. Financial assistance applications are available at any YMCA branch; contact the branch front desk for more information. Financial assistance is granted based upon available resources. All applications are kept confidential.
Guest Policy
YMCA members are encouraged to introduce their friends to the YMCA. Please contact your local YMCA for their guest policy.
Insurance
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley does not carry insurance for participants. Individuals participate at their own risk. We recommend that you consult a physician by telephone or in person before increasing your physical activity and/or taking the a physical fitness test.
Building Improvement Fund
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley charges a fee to all new members in order to provide a source of funds for enhancing membership services. This fee is non-refundable and may be paid in full upon joining or be paid in three monthly installments through our bank draft system. A lapse in membership of 30 days or more requires payment of the Building Improvement Fund to reinstate membership.
Locker Use
Lockers are for daily use only. Members are encouraged to bring a lock for their valuables.
Note to Members
30 days notice is required for terminating membership.
Rejoining: A rejoining fee will be charged for any membership which has been expired for more than 30 days. A $25.00 Service Charge will be assessed for any item returned to the YMCA such as but not limited to: insufficient funds, closed bank account, invalid or incorrect credit card number.

Heroes Campaign
Each year, the YMCA's Annual Giving Campaign raises thousands of dollars to provide financial assistance to those who otherwise could not afford YMCA programs and services.If you are interested in helping the YMCA make a difference in our community, contact your local branch to assist as a volunteer or donor.
Valuables
The YMCA recommends you do not bring any valuables into a facility. The YMCA is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles, regardless of whether or not they are secured in a locker.Volunteers
